On surprise visit, DC orders razing of illegal buildings
Deputy commissioner PC Meena conducted a surprise visit to villages situated on the periphery of IMT Manesar on Saturday and ordered immediate demolition of upcoming structures in colonies being developed illegally.
Amid heavy rain, Meena visited Kasan, Naharpur, Kakrola, Bhangrola and Sihi villages along National Highway No 8.
After receiving confidential reports, Meena decided to conduct a surprise inspection of the illegal colonies here. Manesar SHO Narender Kumar accompanied him.
In Kasan village, Meena spotted sewerage lines with manholes on a 2.5-acre plot, apart from a room and boundary wall.
Meena directed the patwari and kanoongo to reach the spot along with land records of that area. DTP (E) Anil Dabas and block development and panchayat officer of Gurgaon Virender Chaudhary were also asked to report along with bulldozers.
After checking the records, Meena directed DTP (Enforcement) to pull down the structures. A number of half-built houses near the cremation ground in the same village were also razed by the demolition squad.
After this, Meena along with the demolition squad proceeded to Naharpur village where an illegal colony was being developed on a farmhouse, RB Farms, spread over three acres.
The road network and sewerage lines and under-construction structures here were demolished. Similar action was taken at Kakrola, Bhangrola and Sihi villages.
Meena has appealed buyers to not get lured by offers and advertisements put up by unauthorised developers constructing illegal colonies.
The buyers should first check the status of the colony or housing society from the DTP’s office before investing in it lest they should not lose their money.
The deputy commissioner reiterated that registration of sale deeds in illegal colonies had been banned in Gurgaon.
