Section 144 to be imposed on PM’s route in Gurgaon

He attended the rehearsal of water laser show and light and sound shows, and directed officials to make the function a success that it will be remembered for a long time.

District administration will impose prohibitory orders under Section 144 on a route from Leisure Valley in Sector 29 to Tau Devi Lal Stadium from October 30 to November 1 in the wake of Prime minister Narendra Modi’s visit for the function.

District magistrate TL Satyaprakash ordered that no parking would be allowed at a 100-metre radius from the earmarked route and more than five persons would not be allowed to gather in the area. Besides, no one will be allowed to carry weapons in the area.

The administration has prepared a helipad at Leisure Valley as Modi is expected to reach Gurgaon by air. From the helipad, he is scheduled to travel by road to the stadium. The administration has also ordered removal of all speed breakers on the route.

Besides PM Modi, a number of union ministers, Haryana minister, chief ministers of other states, political leaders from across the country and a large number of other dignitaries are expected to attend the event.

During his stadium visit on Friday, CM Khattar also reviewed seating arrangements, and arrangement of food. He said the event would be inspirational for other states.

Anand Mohan Sharan, principal resident commissioner who is nodal officer for the event, apprised the CM about preparations.
