Although there is restriction on the use of groundwater, the facility — which became operational in January this year — has been relying on groundwater.

After drawing flak, the Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda) has speeded up the construction of a pipeline which will take water to the tank at the fire station.

“We have been waiting for proper water supply for the last many months. Drawing water from tubewells takes lot of time. We can’t afford to waste much time,” said a fire official.

Meanwhile, Huda officials said they will sort out the problem soon.

“We will provide proper water supply for the fire station soon.” said a Huda offcial.

“We are initiating steps to solve the issue at the earliest,” added the official.
