A new pill that can get rid of hangovers will be launched in the UK market today.

The pill by the name of RU-21 has been developed by US-based Spirit Sciences .The pill will give people the freedom to booze all day without fearing a backlash the morning after.

According to The Sun, four million of the pills , named after the legal drinking age , have been sold since their launch in the US last year.

The pill is now also available at Superdrug stores across Britain at a price of 4.99 pounds for a pack of 20.

Boozers are advised to take one pill with each drink for the cure to work. However, Spirit Sciences, warn the pills do not prevent people feeling drunk or vomiting.

They say that RU-21 regulates alcohol metabolism and taking it with every drink will help protect organs against alcohol damage.

Experts also warn that the tablets could lead to more booze problems.

"We believe that a hangover is the body's way of saying you are drinking too much," an Alcohol Concern was quoted as saying.

"I'd say don't waste your money. If you want to protect yourself against a hangover, don't drink as much," Alcohol expert and liver consultant Professor Oliver James said.
