US actress Geena Davis has predicted that it is going to take an estimated 700 years to reach gender role equality and representation in Hollywood films.

US actress Geena Davis has predicted that it is going to take an estimated 700 years to reach gender role equality and representation in Hollywood films.
Davis, 57, who founded her own media and gender think tank, said despite female-led films like The Hunger Games and Bridesmaids, the industry has not changed.
The study commissioned by The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media found that even though women make up 50% of movie audiences, there was only one role of female for every three male roles in family films and children's programmes, the Independent reported.
