Annabelle 2 first teaser: The creepy doll takes you back to The Conjuring

The first teaser trailer for Annabelle 2, the sequel to the spinoff of The Conjuring is here - and it delivers just what fans want.

If there’s one horror movie staple that’s beaten to death more than creepy clowns, it’s creepy dolls. And now, with the first teaser trailer for Annabelle 2, this trend can continue - at least for another film.

Annabelle 2 is scheduled for a May 19, 2017 release.

Annabelle 2 is the sequel to the spinoff to The Conjuring, which also got a sequel this year. The confusion surrounding the timeline of these movies is irrelevant, because they keep making so much money and everyone turns up for them anyway.

The doll is back, just how you like it.

This trailer delivers just what fans want: Creepy suspense paid off with a nice jump scare, a terrified child, a more terrified mother (this time, for added terror, she seems to be single). And of course, the reason why we come back to these movies: Annabelle, the doll from hell.

The IMDb plot synopsis reads: Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.

The first Annabelle made $256 million on a budget of $6.5 million in 2014. Getting a sequel ready this quick was a no-brainer. Annabelle 2 is directed by David F Sandberg, who burst onto the scene this year with Lights Out, which was also produced by James Wan, the godfather of the Conjuring series.

Mirando Otto is the target this time.

The film stars Miranda Otto, Talitha Bateman and Stephanie Sigman. It is scheduled for a May 19, 2017 release.
