Natalie Portman has revealed her Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky tried to pit her and co-star Mila Kunis against each other during the shooting of the 2011 movie.

“He’d say, ‘Oh, Mila is doing really well on her stuff. She’s so much better than you’,” Portman said in an interview to Vogue.

“Darren would tell us things about each other to try to make us jealous. I think he was trying to create a rivalry in real life between us.”

Portman, 35, and Kunis, 33, were friends prior to working together and the former earlier said their bond only strengthened after collaborating on Black Swan.
