With the multibillion dollar success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, several young actors have found super stardom in relatively short careers. Chris Evans, Chris Pratt and Chris Hemsworth have become household names in the 10 glorious years of the MCU, taking it to greater heights. Tom Hiddleston registered himself as one the most lovable villains and now Brie Larson has recently delivered the first female superhero billion dollar hit with Captain Marvel. However, these young stars aren’t the only ones that made the MCU what it is today.
Looking back at 22 movies, you will realise that while the leads were played by charming actors like Robert Downey Jr, Evans, Pratt and others, there were also a few senior and legendary actors. These actors not only gave the leads the support they needed but also brought a gravity and respectability to the movie that no other actor could have. From parental figures to scheming supervillains, they played their parts to perfection and were still able to not make the movie about themselves despite the reservoir of talent and experience that they brought with themselves.
Here, we list 15 great, multiple award-winning actors who played pivotal roles in the MCU. Did your favourite make it to the list?
