Australian actor Hugh Jackman (above left) has hinted that he might take on the mantle of British spy James Bond from current 007 star Daniel Craig (above right) in the future.

The X-Men star has also revealed that he was approached in the past to play the role of the elusive secret agent but he refused due to prior commitments.
“I got a call from my agent saying ‘there’s some possible interest in you for Bond, are you interested’?” news.com.au quoted the 43-year-old as saying.

“At the time I wasn’t. I was about to shoot X-Men 2 and Wolverine had become this thing in my life. But I think every male at some point thinks about playing Bond... So it was not right then but it may be right if it comes back. As an actor you’ve got to keep taking risks,” he added.

Jackman’s hope comes as a surprise as Craig, 43, is already on papers to play the suave spy until Bond 25. While the two-Bond-flicks old actor is about to get into gizmo mode for Bond 23, Jackman, on the other hand, is busy filming Les Miserables in London.
