Is newly-married Benedict Cumberbatch the perfect husband?
Cumberbatch and his new wife Sophie Hunter made the cutest and most loved-up duo on the Oscars 2015 red carpet. They took their newlywed bliss to the Oscars with some very sweet red carpet PDA.
He might not have won the Best Actor Oscar on Monday, but Benedict Cumberbatch, without doubt, enjoyed the show and felt like a winner (he raised eyebrows when he was caught on camera swigging from his hip flask, couple of minutes into the ceremony). And he was ready to show us how madly in lovehe is.

In case, you missed, Cumberbatch and his new wife Sophie Hunter made the cutest and most loved-up duo on the Oscars 2015 red carpet. They took their newly-wed bliss to the awards gala with some very sweet red carpet PDA. The following photos of the couple are sure to warm your heart.

Cumberbatch, 38, who tied the knot with his pregnant fiance Sophie, 36, on Valentine's Day, couldn't be more in love and basically proved he’s the most caring man alive.
The newest 'it' couple held hands and lovingly gazed at each other after making a grand entrance. But the cutest moment came when Benedict held Sophie, kissed her hand, and touched her baby bump. *Heart exploded*

We particularly love that Benedict asks his wife the same cute question on every red carpet. We know that despite being an actor and director herself, Sophie isn't quite as experienced as Cumberbatch when it comes to red carpet appearances and Benedict does all he can to help her hold it all together.
The always thoughtful (and now publicly passionate) Sherlock star makes sure to check on his lovely wife by asking her this one cute question, every time they hit a high-pressure do together, "Are you ok?"

At the BAFTAs earlier in February, Benedict turned to Sophie as they were practically blinded by flashbulbs and asked: "Are you alright?". And, as he made his way over to the gaggle of press waiting for him to do interviews, he turned back and asked this, "Are you sure you're gonna be alright Sophie?". Now, ain't that sweet?
And then at the Oscars on Monday, Benedict did the exact same thing as they posed for photos on the red carpet. And then kissed his brand new wife on her cheek. Yes, we were jealous.

Need another reason to admire Benedict, the husband? Try this: The Imitation Game actor seemed content to let his bride steal his thunder by wearing a daring gown that almost concealed her baby bump but showed off lots of leg.
So, at the Oscars, while Benedict went with a smashing white tux, Sophie channeled old Hollywood glamour in a red dress held together with safety pins. And the good husband Benedict is, he proudly let his new wife steal the spotlight at Hollywood's biggest night.

And if asking Sophie, again and again, if she was 'okay' with the overwhelming amount of attention was not enough, Cumberbatch indulged in some serious passion and packed in some PDA by warmly embracing his pregnant wife as she showed off her bump, soon after they got married.
Watch:
The lovebirds stopped to indulge in some rare PDA three days after their big day, when they stopped to admire the views of the ocean along California's iconic Pacific Coast Highway, while on their road trip honeymoon.
The precious moment came at a petrol station as Sophie showed off her blossoming bump in a summery dress. With their first child together due in the spring, the couple stopped to fill up their car, where Sophie threw her arms around her man and gave him a big kiss. Ok, Benedict and Sophie are juts too cute!

Hunter and Cumberbatch announced in early January that they're expecting a child together and married in a simple, intimate ceremony on Valentine's Day on the Isle of Wight.
