Academy Award-winner Robert De Niro is one of the biggest Hollywood stars, but the actor, who is on his maiden India visit for a corporate summit in Goa, feels that he has been replaced by Leonardo DiCaprio, especially, when it comes to Martin Scorsese films. The 70-year-old, who was spotted at various Delhi neighbourhoods last week, will soon be seen in the upcoming comedy, Last Vegas, co-starring Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline. Talking about the Titanic (1997) star, De Niro says, "Leonardo DiCaprio is a very serious young actor. He takes it quite seriously. So although DiCaprio has taken my place in Marty’s (Scorsese) movies, I’m apparently the go-to guy in handing out the hardware (awards). I’ve gotten pretty good at giving out awards but frankly I’ve gotten out of practice accepting an award myself." The Hollywood actor also met Amitabh Bachchan at the Goa summit on Friday and attended a session helmed by the Indian icon. During the session, Bachchan said De Niro was one of his inspirations. It was an impromptu meeting and the two actors embraced on stage. 'He is one of the most humble legends' (Samarth Goyal reports) Designer Suneet Varma, who met Robert De Niro in Delhi, says the actor is extremely humble. "I asked him which one of his own movies he likes, and he said he loves almost all of them," says Varma.
