Soon after Alia Bhatt, without any hesitation, said that her biggest crush of all time was her Brahmastra co-star Ranbir Kapoor, Ranbir replied that he too had a ‘boy crush’ on Alia.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will share screen space for the first time in the upcoming Brahmastra, which in Bollywood terms means that the two have of course been linked up, regardless of all the questions they’ve dodged. But if you thought Alia’s recent admission that she has a crush on Ranbir complicated matters, what do you think is cooking now that Ranbir has reciprocated her declaration?

In an interview to NDTV, Ranbir said that he has a ‘boy crush on her,’ and complimented her on her latest film, Raazi. A few weeks ago, Alia didn’t hesitate when she was asked by India Today who her biggest crush of all time is. “Ranbir Kapoor,’ came her swift reply.

Ranbir and Alia attended Sonam Kapoor’s wedding reception in Mumbai together, after which Alia had shared a picture of the two of them on Instagram. One glance at the photo, in which both stars were dressed in traditional attire, was enough to send their fans into a frenzy, demanding why they weren’t together. Among the several Bollywood stars who commented on the image with heart emojis and such, Alia’s sister Shaheen replied with a heart emoji with an arrow in it, further adding to the speculation.

Alia is basking in the success of Raazi, which has received universal acclaim, with her performance being singled out. Ranbir was all praise for Alia, too. “I watched the film one week before release and it blew my mind it’s one of the greatest films ever made in Indian cinema,” he told NDTV.

TV anchor Rajat Sharma tried to ask Alia about the Ranbir situation during her recent appearance on Aap Ki Adalat. “Even if something is going on, I don’t want to accept,” she said.

Ranbir will soon star as Sanjay Dutt in the hotly anticipated biopic, Sanju. He will then play a dacoit in Yash Raj’s Shamshera, and will star opposite Ajay Devgn in director Luv Ranjan’s Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety follow up.
