Despite Marvel going out of their way to keep the plot of Avengers: Infinity War a secret - they refused to screen the movie in its entirety before the premiere, and the directors even wrote letters to fans with the hashtag #ThanosDemandsYourSilence - Mark Ruffalo went and did it again. Months after inadvertently live-streaming a portion of Thor: Ragnarok on Instagram, the Hulk star blurted out the ending of Infinity War in an interview to Good Morning America in July, 2017.

While at Disney D23 expo, Ruffalo and War Machine actor Don Cheadle were talking about Marvel movies in general, with the conversation being directed towards Thor: Ragnarok, which released in November to ecstatic reviews and commercial success. As the interviewer pressed Ruffalo for more Ragnarok details, the actor, in an effort to sway the conversation in another direction perhaps, blurted out, “Wait till you see the next one... Everyone dies!”

The interviewer didn’t catch on to it immediately, but the looks on Cheadle and Ruffalo’s faces tell a whole ‘nother story. “Dude!,” said Cheadle, while Ruffalo buried his face in his hands.

Unable to move on from the slip up - even though the interviewer seemed to think they were messing with him and moved on to another question - Raffalo asked Cheadle if he was in trouble. “I would just move on,” said Cheadle and immediately proceeded to answer the next question, while a visibly concerned Ruffalo looked around in disbelief.

And there was a good reason behind his concern - several Avengers die at the end of Infinity War after the supervillain Thanos comes through with his threat of wiping out half the universe with a snap of his fingers.

Infinity War broke the record for the biggest worldwide debut of all time, with a $640 million gross, including $258 million in the US and Rs 147 crore in India, enough to make it the biggest Hollywood debut in the country.
