Avengers Infinity War has a firm grasp on India box office, having broke all records for Hollywood films in India.

Four days at the box office and Avengers: Infinity War is galloping towards Rs 150 crore collections, having earned Rs 147.2 crore gross already. Now, these are numbers that put any Bollywood film – including all the releases of 2018 – in shade. The 19th film of Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a juggernaut internationally, having earned $630 million and breaking records wherever it goes. The film is yet to release in China, considered the biggest market for Hollywood films after North America.

‏Sharing India figures, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “#AvengersInfinityWar continues its DREAM RUN... Mon biz is a SHOCKER... That too on 2000+ screens... Fri 31.30 cr, Sat 30.50 cr, Sun 32.50 cr, Mon 20.52 cr. Total: 114.82 cr NettBOC. India biz... GrossBOC: 147.21 cr... #Avengers #InfinityWar.”

“#AvengersInfinityWar is a GAME-CHANGER... Like #Baahubali2 was in 2017... Will easily surpass *lifetime biz* of #TheJungleBook and emerge the HIGHEST GROSSING *Hollywood film* in India... #Avengers #InfinityWar,” he added.

To give a perspective of how huge the film’s Monday numbers are, Padmaavat – the biggest Hindi language hit of 2018 – earned Rs 14.25 crore on its first Monday. Baaghi 2, another big hit, raked in Rs 12 crore on day 4 of release.

Marvel Studio’s biggest superhero film has become 2018’s highest Hollywood earner in India till date with its gross box office collections of Rs 120.09 crore in three days. The film, which brings together the largest gathering of superheroes to battle it out against supervillain Thanos, also had the biggest day one opening ever for a Hollywood movie in the country.

“The opening weekend numbers are a testament to ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ creating a cinematic milestone. The success goes to show the ever increasing fan base and the pop culture phenomena that Marvel as a brand enjoys in India,” Bikram Duggal- Head of Studio Entertainment, Disney India, said in a statement.

The net box office collections of the film, which released in India on April 27, is Rs 94.03 crore.

Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Chadwick Boseman, Sebastian Stan, Don Cheadle, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Pom Klementieff, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Tom Holland, among others.
