Delhi hit-and-drag horror: All 6 accused sent to 14-day judicial custody

All six men - accused in the horrifying hit-and-drag case of the Delhi woman reported on the New Year's Day - were on Monday sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Delhi's Rohini Court was hearing a bail plea moved for Ashutosh, one of the accused-arrested in the incident. The court has set the next hearing for 12:30pm Tuesday.
Earlier, it was revealed that during the custodial interrogation, the accused men they were aware of the victim's body being dragged under the wheels.
Anjali Singh, 20, was killed in the early hours of January 1 when her scooter was hit by a Maruti Suzuki Baleno, following which her body got stuck to the car and was dragged for 12 kilometres from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala.
The Delhi Police had initially arrested five men – Deepak Khanna (26), Amit Khanna (25), Krishan (27), Mithun (26), and Manoj Mittal – in the case last Monday. The sixth accused – Ashutosh – was arrested on Friday, and remanded in police custody for three days.
The police had said that it was Ashutosh who had given the car to Amit, Krishan, Mithun and Manoj on December 31. After the incident, he tried to help them get away and gave false information to the police in a bid to mislead the probe.
Meanwhile, another accused, Ankush Khanna, who surrendered before the police, was granted bail on Saturday.
