Four held in Ahmedabad with demonetised currency notes worth ₹99.99 lakh
Police said 12,800 demonetised notes of ₹500 denomination and 3,599 scrapped notes of ₹1,000 denomination, totalling ₹99.99 lakh, were seized from Manjula Barot, Malhar Purohit, Rajesh Parmar and Gopal Pandey.

A Chandkheda police station official said that 12,800 demonetised notes of ₹500 denomination and 3,599 scrapped notes of ₹1,000 denomination, totalling ₹99.99 lakh, were seized from Manjula Barot, Malhar Purohit, Rajesh Parmar and Gopal Pandey.
All four are local residents and were nabbed from near a mall at Chandkheda crossroad on Saturday night, the official said.
Primary investigations have revealed that they were looking to exchange it for a commission, he said. A case had been registered and further investigations were underway, he added.
