Four policemen wounded in suspected militant attack in south Kashmir

Four policemen were injured in a suspected militant attack in south Kashmir on Sunday evening, police said.

The attack took place in Qazigund of Kulgam district when the attackers opened fire at a police party, an officer at the PCR Kulgam told HT.

The four injured are being treated and a hunt for the militants is on.

The injured have been identified as Head Constable Manzoor Ahmad and constable Mohammad Ashraf and Mohammad Yaqoob.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched an operation to track down the assailants, the official added.
