J-K govt offers 50 % rebate on tour packages, lodgings in Kashmir

The rebate will be applicable at properties owned by the J-K Tourism Development Corporation. The corp has an accommodation capacity of 1750 beds, runs restaurants and offers travel services and tour packages.

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday announced a 50 per cent rebate on travel packages and lodgings with to boost tourism in the valley.

The rebate will be applicable at properties owned by the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation. The corporation has an accommodation capacity of 1750 beds and runs seven restaurants and cafeterias across the state, a spokesman said.

It also has a fleet of vehicles which caters to transportation needs of the tourists.

The corporation has pre-designed tour packages and travellers can also customise their tours themselves by logging on to its website, he said.
