Weather today highlights: The death toll in Wayanad landslide has now reached four as rescue operations continue. Kerala Minister A P Anilkumar told reporters here that the body was recovered from zone 1 of the search area in the morning, according to news agency PTI. "Searches will be carried out in zones 1 and 2 of the area. Will be focusing search operations near the river also," he said.

In Delhi, two trees were uprooted on Raja Dhir Singh Marg in southeast Delhi's East of Kailash on Thursday, disrupting traffic in the area, according to the Delhi Fire Service (DFS).

No one was injured in the two incidents, news agency PTI reported.

Visuals show severe waterlogging in Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, and Ghaziabad as overnight rainfall battered the region. Commuters are seen travelling on roads submerged in water.

The building collapse took place as heavy rains continued to batter several parts of Maharashtra, including Pune and Mumbai. The incident occurred after a huge mound of garbage crashed onto the building following heavy rains.

In Gujarat’s Surat, officials said at least 9 people were reported dead over the last few days as heavy rains battered the city. Thousands of people from low-lying areas have been shifted to safer locations, while food packets were distributed in waterlogged areas of the city, news agency PTI reported.
