10:30 am: Sensex down 48.47 points

The Sensex, which plunged over 368 points in the previous trading, has slid further to 11,502.22 in early trade.

The benchmark Sensex maintained its downwards trend on the Bombay Stock Exchange in early trade on Monday, by losing 48.47 points on sustained selling by funds.

The 30-share index, Sensex, which had plunged over 368 points in previous trading went down further by 48.47 points at 11,502.22 in first five minutes of trade.

Similarly, the national stock index, Nifty, was quoted down by 18.70 points at 3347.45. The Nifty was 109 points lower in Monday's trading.
