15-yr-old 'rapes' 13-yr-old disabled tribal girl

A 13-year-old disabled tribal girl was allegedly raped in Jharkhand's steel city Bokaro on Wednesday afternoon. The accused, also a minor (15 years old), has been detained.

A 13-year-old disabled tribal girl was allegedly raped in Jharkhand's steel city Bokaro on Wednesday afternoon. The accused, also a minor (15 years old), has been detained.

The accused works as a domestic help in the neighbouring house. He allegedly attacked the girl, who is unable to speak and walk properly, when she was standing outside her house after taking bath to beat the chill, said the police. Her mother was inside the house at the time of the attack.

“She possibly could not put up a fight due to her physical and mental disabilities,” said the police officer investigating the crime.

A while later, the girl's mother caught the boy committing the crime. She claimed she nabbed the juvenile as he tried to escape.

The police officer said the girl was sent for medical examination.
