2 Hizb terrorists killed in Jammu and Kashmir

Javed Ahmad Ganai and Sajad Ahmad Mir were killed in the hour-long gunbattle with security forces at Chuntipora village in Pulwama district.

Two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists, including one who deserted police to join the ultras, were killed in a gunbattle with security forces in Pulwama district, police said on Tuesday.

Javed Ahmad Ganai and Sajad Ahmad Mir were killed in the hour-long gunbattle with security forces at Chuntipora village in Pulwama district last evening, they said.

Ganai was working as a special police officer at Chrar-e-Sharief in Budgam district before he ran away from the force with a rifle last year, they said.

An AK rifle, one pistol and a hand grenade were recovered from their possesion, he added.
