2 LeT men held at Old Delhi Rly station

The arrest of the two Bangladeshis with 1.5kg of RDX holds significance in view of the festive season ahead.

Two Lashker-e-Taiba terrorists, belonging to Bangladesh, were arrested early on Monday morning from the Old Railway Station in New Delhi with 1.5 kg of RDX, days ahead of Diwali and Id.

The arrested were identified as Mohd Aslam Gir and Abdul Razaq, residents of Rajshahi district of Bangladesh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Alok Kumar said.



They landed in the police net on their arrival from Jammu by Pooja Express at around 5.00 am, he said adding 1.5 kg of RDX were recovered from their possession.



The arrest comes at a time when security in the capital is at an all time high in view of the festive season.
