2 suicides reported in City
TWO YOUTHS committed suicide in the City on Monday. A 20-year-old committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of his house in Bagh Mughaliya locality past midnight on Monday.
Earlier, another youth also hung himself from the ceiling of his house in Gandhi Nagar locality late on Sunday night. According to Bagh Sewaniya police, the deceased, Samrat, had come to live in Bhopal with his family about six months ago. His family said he was constantly urging them to allow him to return to his native village.
Samrat’s parents, however, refused to give in to his demand, the police said. On Monday at about 2 am, when Samrat’s brother woke up in the night, he saw Samrat’s body hanging from the ceiling of the house.
He immediately woke up his parents and the body was brought down. They rushed Samrat to a nearby private hospital but the doctors there declared him brought dead.
The police were informed about the incident. The police are yet to ascertain the exact cause of Samrat taking the extreme step.
In the Gandhi Nagar incident, according to information, the body of the deceased Anwar was found at about 10 pm on Sunday and his parents brought the body down.
They rushed Anwar to the Hamidia Hospital, but doctors on duty declared him brought dead. The police were informed about the hanging and the body was sent for post mortem. The deceased did not leave behind any suicide note. The family members of the deceased could not surmise reason for ending his life.
