At least 20 persons have reported positive for dengue at S C B medical college and hospital in Cuttack, Odisha, official sources said on Friday.

At least 58 suspected cases were reported at the S C B medical college and hospital on Friday.

Of them 20 tested positive and 15 of them are from Cuttack city, doctors said.

While one patient was admitted to the ICU, remaining 19 were admitted to the dengue ward of the hospital.

Most of the dengue positive cases were from Rausapatna, Nima Sahi and Haripur area of the city.

The city has registered one dengue death in this season, the sources said.

The microbiology department of the Hospital has tested at least 308 blood samples of suspects in this season, of which 55 samples have tested positive for dengue.

The 30-bed dengue ward of the Hospital now has 21 patients.
