Jailal and his wife Sapna (both 22 years old), who lived in Dewli village, got married 3 years ago and couple had a one-and-half-year-old daughter. Jailal, who hails from Suma-riya village in Maharashtra, was residing at his in-laws’ place in Dewli village in Barwani district.
Sapna's father Kalu first saw her daughter in a pool of blood and son-in-law hanging on Tuesday afternoon. He said he found them dead after returning home from his field.
He informed that on Tuesday morning, like every other day, he and Jailal went to work on the fields. In the afternoon, when they were about to have their lunch, Jailal said that he wanted to take lunch with his wife and headed home. After sometime, Kalu went home. He found Sapna and Jailal dead.
Police said that on the basis of preliminary inquiry it appears that Jailal first slit Sapna's throat and then hanged himself. Police have started investigation to find out the reason of the incident.
