At least 25 people were injured in a clash between two groups after namaz of the Eid festival at Khagarapal village in Balasore district, police said on Friday.

The incident occurred after members of the two Muslim groups exchanged "indecent comments" near a local mosque after the Eid namaz on Thursday.
Efforts by community leaders of both the groups fixing separate time slots for namaz failed to prevent the untoward ins on one group which was coming out of the mosque, leading to the clash in which 25 people were injured, the sources said.
They were given medical treatment in a nearby hospital.
No arrest has been made in this connection so far. Additional police force is deployed in the village and the situation is under control, the sources added.
