25-year-old woman shot dead in Ghaziabad

A 25-year-old woman was allegedly shot dead by some unidentified assailants near a Mother Dairy booth in the Sector 16 area of Vasundhara late on Saturday night.

A 25-year-old woman was allegedly shot dead by some unidentified assailants near a Mother Dairy booth in the Sector 16 area of Vasundhara late on Saturday night.

The police said the woman was a resident of Prahlad Garhi.

“Locals informed us about the incident. But she died before being taken to a hospital,” said SS Yadav, superintendent of police (SP). The police are yet to find out the reason behind the murder.

The victim was the wife of a photographer who belonged to Orissa. The woman, mother of two children, was a resident of Ghazipur district in UP and worked as a domestic help in houses. Theirs was a love marriage. However, they were living separately for the past one year, the police said.
