Bringing to justice a gang of contract killers for the alleged murder of a police informant in Noida a month ago, the South District Police apprehended Rahul (30), Bhupinder (28) and Sanjay (26), the police only gave their first names, on Tuesday.
The gang had gunned down an informer of the Anti-Auto Theft Squad of the police on October 20 after a stolen car deal had gone awry, suspecting foul play on the victim’s part.
Acting on gathered information, the police first apprehended Bhupinder on November 3.
The son of an Air Force officer, Bhupinder was arrested from NH 28 as he was in the act of selling a stolen vehicle. Information gathered from his interrogation led the police to the other two accused.
Gang leader and ex-army soldier Rahul’s father also served in the Army.
