Troops on Tuesday apprehended three Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists in north Kashmir's Baramulla district, a defence spokesman said.

He said based on specific information troops of 15 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) conducted a search operation at Wangam village in Bandipora area of Baramulla district early on Tuesday.
He said during the operation troops apprehended three ultras of Lashkar—Javed Ahmad Sheikh of Wangam, Feroz Ahmed Magray Alias Faisal of Qazipur and Mohd Shafi Khan of Naupura.
On interrogation they confessed to being active as Lashkar terrorists and involved in planting an IED in Putushai village on 26 Aug 2006 and firing on security forces patrol on August 16 2006 at Wangam.
A huge quantity of arms and ammunition has been seized from them which include three Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL), 12 UBGL Grenade, five hand grenades, two Remote Control IEDs and two mobile phones.
