45 Kgs of RDX, and other explosives recovered in J&K

Security forces recover a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the forest area of Darhal in Jammu and Kashmir dumped by Pakistani ultras.

Security forces have recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, including 45 kgs of RDX, from the forest area of Darhal in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, a defence spokesman said in Jammu on Thursday.

Rashtriya Rifle (RR) troops and police jointly launched a search in Madun forest in Darhal area of the border district last evening following intelligence information, the spokesman said, adding they recovered a huge haul of explosives from a water tank.



45 Kgs of RDX, 265 detonators, 46 grenades, one AK-56 rifle with one magazine and 250 rounds, three RPG rounds, 600 meters wire, one sim card of Pakistan company and Rs 8,350 in Pakistani currency, he said.



The explosives were dumped by Pakistani ultras in the forest area to be used later for subversive activities, he said, adding search operation was on.
