5 die trying to save pigeon in Gujarat

The incident occurred in Zalabordi village when the five entered the pit one after the other to rescue a pigeon, police said.

Officials said that the incident occurred when a pigeon was trapped in a pit, following which the boy lowered himself to rescue the bird. However, when he did not return his relatives entered the pit, police said.

Officials said that all five were apparently suffocated to death.
