IN A religious ceremony coducted in St Joseph's Cathedral on Thursday, five sisters of St Mary's Convent - Arpitha, Jyotika, Marilyn, Regina and Roselette committed themselves to the service of humanity by pledging to keep the vows of Chastity, obedience and poverty. They made their promises in the presence of the Provincial Superior of the Congregation of Jesus, Sr Mariette.

Congratulating these five sisters, Bishop Isidore Fernandes urged them to serve the society selflessly in the field of education, health and social welfare irrespective of the challenges that they might face in the society.
Giving the information here, Sr Anusha said, earlier in St Mary's Convent premises the candles were blessed by the Bishop. Thereafter, holding the lighted candles in their hands all went in procession of St Joseph's Cathedral where they sang and offered prayers for these five sisters. The sisters offered themselves for the noble task of serving the least, last and lost one's of the society.
On the occasion, the Vicar General Fr Alex D'Souza, Fr Rolfie, Fr KK Anthony, Sr Mariette, Sr Roshini, Sr Florence, about 50 priests, 200 sisters were present.
