5000 youths to get employment

GENERAL SECRETARY, Chamber of Industries of Gorakhpur, SK Agrawal claimed that the proposed Textile Park at GIDA would provide employment to around 5000 youths in the region.

Under the scheme, around 100 units of powerloom process, spinning mills, handlooms and readymade garments would be established here.

‘It would be a boon for the weavers, who have no source of income’, he added.
Agrawal said the new industrial policies of the state government have generated new possibilities for establishment of industries at GIDA.

He said Chamber of Industries had paid a vital role in the establishment of GIDA and an investment of around Rs 1500 crore by three industrialists has generated a new hope among the traders and industrialist.

He expressed hope that Gorakhpur would emerge as a big centre of textile business soon. This Textile Park would bring a revolution for the people living in this region, he added.

Meanwhile, district administration has made elaborate arrangement for peaceful commencement of chief minister’s programme. 12 circle officer, 26 police station in-charge, 154 sub inspectors, 25 head constables, 534 constables along with 40 women constables would be deployed at GIDA.
