Soon after the incident, DLF residents gathered in large numbers before the local police station to register their protest against the daylight robbery. The woman's son and daughter-in-law were at their photo lab in DLF Phase IV when the incident happened.
According to ACP (East) Sumit Kuhar, the robbers gagged the woman in her bedroom while the servants were taken to another room.
He said: “The robbers had details of the family and their movements. We do not rule out the role of the servants as the robbers knew the house owner Parveen Kumar was not at home.”
The police have called the two servants for interrogation.
