Produced by Nimit Modawal and written and directed by Isshan Trivedi, the film will be released July 29. A light-hearted comedy, "7 1/2 Phere" revolves around a marriage in a middle class family, which is to be covered on national news television without the consent of the parties involved.

After being turned down by the family on making the very private ceremony a national news item, Asmi Ganatra (Juhi), a news reporter, plays her cards well and takes the help of Manoj Joshi (Irrfan), the bride's uncle who has fallen for her.

With her career at stake, Asmi takes Manoj into confidence and plants hidden cameras at the wedding ceremony - what follows is the situational comedy that digs into the family secrets and opens a Pandora's box.

"7 1/2 Phere" brings together for the first time Juhi and Irrfan - two diverse actors from two different schools of acting. This film also marks Irrfan's entry and Juhi's return to comedy.

The chemistry between them is something to watch out for, the conflict and resolution form an integral part of the film.

Produced by Nimit Modawal, the film is written and directed by debutant director Ishaan Trivedi. Manini De, Manoj Pahwa, Anang Desai, Vallabh Vyas and Neena Kulkarni aptly support the lead cast. The music is by Shantanu Moitra.
