According to official sources, the checking staff checked two passenger trains and 6 Express Trains, including Sachkhand Express and caught red-handed 92 ticketless passengers.
Some of them who were hiding themselves in the toilets were brought out by the officials of the GRP and Railway Protection Force, for penalising them.
As many as 53 passengers were produced before a special railway magistrate S K Sharma who imposed a fine on them.
A sum of Rs 42,000 was realised as fine from them. Eleven ticketless passengers who failed to pay the amount of the fine were sent to the Ambala central jail.
