'93 blasts case: 3 more convicted

The court finds three customs officials guilty while it acquits a friend of actor Sanjay Dutt giving him benefit of doubt.

The designated TADA court on Monday found three senior customs officials guilty of aiding and abetting the 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai, while it acquitted a close friend of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt on benefit of doubt.

The Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA) court found assistant customs collector RK Singh, senior customs superintendent SM Sayed and Mansoor Ahmed guilty.

It acquitted Ajay Marwah, a close friend of the movie star. The court is expected to give its verdict on Dutt, also an accused in the case, on Tuesday.

The serial blasts on March 12, 1993, had killed 257 people and injured hundreds.
