Praksh Guung was surprised by the gesture of a local crook who recently pickpocketed him at a cinema hall in the city.

Guung, who serves at the Gorkha training centre said he was pickpocketed on December 4 last. The thief stole his purse, which had, among other documents, Rs 1000. He had filed an FIR.

He said two days ago he had received a parcel by post, in which he found his wallet that had his ATM card, Army Identity Card and other documents. Only the money was missing.

There was also a note in the parcel that reads: " m a thief by profession. I only wanted your money; I have no use of your documents. You must be worried about the documents, so I am returning those. Hope you will forgive me -- a well-wisher".
