BNSD Siksha Niketan has been assessed as best school in the Kanpur division and it retained the top spot for the last eight years.
AT LEAST 71 city Secondary schools received ‘A’ grade in the qualitative assessment for the Intermediate Examination-2006. The assessment was carried out by the Madhyamik Siksha Parishad, UP. BNSD Siksha Niketan has been assessed as best school in the Kanpur division and it retained the top spot for the last eight years. It’s followed by Onkareshwar Sarswati, which has been securing the second place for third consecutive time. Other schools are Pt Deen Dayal Upadhaya School, Nawabganj, Sarswati Vidhya Mandir Inter College, Defence Colony, Sri Nanda Lal Vidya Mandir Inter College, Vishnupuri and AV Sarswati Vidhya Mandir Inter College, Panki.

A press communiqué issued by the joint director’s (education) office stated that out of 641 intermediate schools in the Kanpur division, 143 were graded in category ‘A’. After Kanpur, 21 schools of Kannuaj, 19 schools of Aurraya, 19 of Farukhabad, 11 of Etwah and two schools of Kanpur Dehat were also graded in the category ‘A’.
