A-I ties up with HindustanTimes.com for Rank and Bolt Awards in MP

Air-India, India's international carrier has tied-up with HindustanTimes.com, India's leading news web site for the Rank and Bolt awards for students and teachers in Madhya Pradesh for the year 2004. The winners of the awards will be taken to Singapore on a four day trip by Air-India and Singapore Tourism Board.

In Rank and Bolt Awards, Air-India has found a noble way of saying thank you to its customers for reposing their faith in the carrier during the post 9/11 period. The winners from each state are taken to Singapore to promote active and responsible citizenship.

According to Subroto Ghosal Coordinator, Reaching Out Project, Air-India stumbled upon the idea of Rank and Bolt Awards in 2003 after great deliberations. Recognising talent among students and teachers making them aware about active citizenship was the best way of paying back to the community, he said.

Under the arrangement HindustanTimes.com/Bhopal will be one of the official media partners of A-I for the awards in Madhya Pradesh. It will extend its reach to Air-India to promote the event and run the contest form on its web-site.

Students and teachers from Madhya Pradesh can access the contest forms from the HindustanTimes.com/Bhopal web site and download it and submit it to Air-India office Mumbai.

After scrutiny on the forms selected candidates from each district will be called for an interview and the state level winner for students and teachers will be decided.

The state-level winners will be taken along with winners from other 17 states to Singapore in September-October 2004.
