A ?rocking? performance!

Popular rock band of Kolkata ?Skinny Alley? enthralled the students in the ?Rock Nite? organised as part of the four-day all India annual youth festival ?Kashi Yatra? of Institute of Technology in Banaras Hindu University on Saturday evening.

Skinny Alley, Jaishree Singh, Gyan Singh and Amit Singh of the troop performed at the open air theatre of IT-Gymkhana Ground and presented several famous rock numbers of the ‘70s such as ‘Rock N Roll’, ‘Road House Blues’, ‘Stairway to Heaven’, ‘Coming Back Life’, ‘Shine On You Crazy Demon’, ‘Winds of Change’ and ‘Come As You Are’.

Earlier, Sonal and Apurva of IT-BHU were declared Ms. Kashi Yatra and Mr. Kashi Yatra.

A number of other events such as skit, sketching, collage, mehndi, antakshari, extempore, debate and quiz were held at Swatantrata Bhawan during the day.
Organizing committee chairman of Kashi Yatra Dr. PK Mishra informed that playback singer Lucky Ali would enthrall the students at the ‘Indian Nite’ on Sunday evening.

More than 400 out-station participants from around 25 management and engineering colleges across the country are participating in the festival. Teams of National Institute of Fashion Designing and KNIT-Sultanpur are among the participating teams.
