The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is likely to take a final call on putting Kingfisher Airlines on cash-and-carry on Monday.

The carrier owes AAI over R200 crore. Recently a Rs 15-crore cheque it issued to AAI had bounced. Kingfisher did not respond to an e-mail, calls and text message from HT.
Meanwhile, senior BJP leader and former finance minister Yashwant Sinha disapproved of the idea of a government bailout of Kingfisher. “As a finance man, I can’t support this. If Kingfisher can’t run on financially viable basis, it should shut down, or merge,” he said.
