The AD has also directed Chief Medical Officer, Fatehpur, to prepare the charge-sheets against these erring doctors.

During the inspection Dr Srivastava found that the indoor patients were nil and not even a single delivery case was conducted during the past few months despite posting of a lady doctor.

The ANM posted at the CHC was also found absent. The residential quarters for the CHC staff were also found empty. The AD was told that the CHC superintendent had gone to attend some official meeting.

"I was informed that the lady doctor remained absent for the past one-and-a-half-month and the superintendent also remained on a month-long leave.

Despite high number of patients at the OPD the CHC was lying in a mess," said Dr Srivastava.

Talking to HT Allahabad Live Dr Srivastava said a local MP had made complaint to the government about the poor condition of the CHC. The government had asked me to make a detailed inspection of the CHC and send a report in this regard, he said.

The AD also reviewed medical and health services in Magh Mela area on Sunday.
