Additional AG passes away

Additional Advocate General of the Kerala high court, Venganoor Chandrasekharan Nair, passed away at a private hospital in Kochi.

Additional Advocate General of the Kerala high court, Venganoor Chandrasekharan Nair, passed away at a private hospital in Kochi on Thursday.

He was 58 and is survived by wife and a daughter.

Venganoor died of cerebral haemorrage at the Private Medical Trust hospital where he had been hospitalised since the past one week, family sources said. He had undergone bypass surgery five months ago.

He was the Bar council disciplinary committee chairman and had served as the Thiruvananthapuram district government pleader.

The body was kept at the Bar council hall for an hour. Chief justice H L Dattu, other judges and Advocate General were among those who paid their respects.

The body has been taken to his native place in Thiruvananthapuram where the funeral will be held in the evening.
