The ADG was in the city on Sunday and held a crime evaluation meeting with police officials here in the city. The ADG said that STF is being strengthened in the province and after Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Agra, a special wing of STF has been formed. The STF would be advanced to other big cities of the State.

However, the ADG accepted that there are terrorists active in the State. “The presence of terrorists has been confirmed with the Varanasi blast and police have tightened the noose around them.”

Reacting to increasing Naxal activity in the State, the ADG said, “The DGP is holding a monthly evaluation meeting of Naxal-hit places and the police have managed to tame them up to a large extent.”

Expressing concern over the increasing number of dacoities and robberies here in the city, Singh took CO Bilhaur and Kalyanpur to task. He asked them to work diligently to bring down the crime graph in their circles. The ADG also ordered his subordinates to act tough on people misusing beacons.
