Advani to lead Indian challenge in World Snooker

Pankaj Advani will spearhead the Indian challenge at the IBSF World Snooker Championships to be held in Jordan from November 4-15.

Advani, who recently give the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award, will be accompanied by Manan Chandra while Yasin Merchant will be the reserve player.

The team was announced by the Billiards and Snooker Federation vice-president R.K. Tandon here Wednesday.

Anuja Thakur and Vidya Pillay will represent the country in the women's section while Geet Sethi and Devendra Joshi will vie for the top honours in the masters category.
