After hiring the first ever expat chief operating officer (COO) for AI, with an annual package of Rs 3.1 crore, the airline has decided to hire a COO for its subsidiary — the AI Express.
Also posts of chief strategy officer, chief information officer, chief communication adviser and a chief HR adviser have been created in AI to be filled up shortly. It has decided to advertise for the posts, which sources said, could be filled up by expats as in the case of the AI COO.
The COO for AI Express, having an experience of 10-15 years in the industry, would be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the airline and his role would encompass all elements of day-to-day operations, revenue management, scheduling, strategic alliances, sales, brand management, product development and customer service for the low cost carrier.
