Air-India to take 3 aircraft on dry lease

Air-India has signed a Letter of Intent with Montrose Global Capial LLC for dry lease of three aircraft.

Air-India has signed a Letter of Intent with Montrose Global Capial LLC for dry lease of three aircraft as the state-run carrier plans to ramp up its operations for the busy summer season next year.

The LoI with Montrose is for dry lease of three Boeing 747-400 aircraft, a top airline official said.

The aircraft would join A-I fleet in February and March next year, he said.

Air-India has also decided to take one 767-300 ER aircraft on wet lease from Globespan Airways UK.

"This aircraft would be used on Mumbai-Delhi-Bangkok and Mumbai-Delhi-Kuala Lampur route," he said, adding the aircraft would start operations starting from November 22.

Further, the airline has decided to extend the term of two A 310-300 aircraft, which are on dry lease with it up to February and April next year.
