Aishwarya's career
excite-ashhollywood

Will Aishwarya Rai conquer the West aka the World? She has been hogging the limelight since Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus was screened in Cannes Film Festival two years ago. A year later she was selected a member of the feature films jury of the same festival. The media created a lot of hype about her global career move.
Of late, she has been associated with various Hollywood projects. But there was hardly any progress this year in the two international films - Coline Serreau's Chaos and Roland Joffe's Singularity - that she was said to have signed in mid-2003. Her association with a Shekhar Kapur's film on Buddha with Brad Pitt turned out to be a rumour. Recently, in an interview, Aishwarya blasted the media for linking her with global projects she was not even aware of! Remember, how she was rumoured to be the next James Bond girl!
But 2004 had definitely some good news for her at last! Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice was released. This was her first step into the global arena. However, the much talked about film did not give her the global success. Recently Hollywood’s Zachary Coffin announced that Aishwarya would work in Windfall, based on the Bhopal gas tragedy. Is there is some light at the end of the tunnel?
